Pretty straight forward really, list any Tennessee Titans or Houston Oilers references from movies

I really haven't given this a lot of thought yet, but here are three that come to mind...

Edtv - Matthew McConaughey's Ed walks around town in an Oilers jacket (this was on last night, and inspired the thread)

Castaway - Helen Hunt and Tom Hanks are in the kitchen after he returns from his ordeal. They live in St. Louis and she tells him the Rams won the Super Bowl while he was away, when she mentions that they defeated the Titans, he replies "Who are the Titans" (or something to that effect).

Twister - I'm about 90% sure on this one. At one point when they're showing a twister rip through a farm house, they momentarily cut to a shot of a boy's bedroom before it gets blown to bits, on the wall was an Oilers poster (I know the scene exists... I'm 90% sure it was in the movie Twister).

That's all I could think of for the moment... does anybody have anything else? Even the slightest of references will do (heck I cited a momentary shot of a poster on a wall)

(One of my favorite movies of all time)

Talks about how the Oilers moved to Tennessee, where there is no Oil.

Nice! This is a tough nut to crack... no google solution.

I'm sure you're right. I was doing this from memory... I'm old. Where am I again?

They did. Memphis is the home of FedEx, the owner of the plane that crashed, and it was central to the movie.

Actually, Hanks brings the subject up first to break the awkward silence:

"So, let me get this straight.... Tennessee has a pro football team now?"

...or something to that effect :))

Not a movie, but in Cheers - Carla dates a guy to an NFL game where they killed the Oilers 27 - 3

    Nice!

I wonder if there are any classic references... a nice old 60's flick where someone goes to an Oilers game.

In the movie Friday Night Lights, the State Championship game is played at the ol' Astrodome in Houston, Texas
