Titans or Tennessee?

    After tonights magic finish i started wondering. Do i love the Titans or Tennessee. When i became a fan of this team, it was in 99 when we became the titans and now i wonder. If the Titans pack up and leave tennessee, would i follow them to the next state and cheer or would i do like many houston texan fans and cheer for the new team if one is brought to tennessee. When i see the games on tv Tennessee fans are as good as they come. Loud and dedicated. Also classy. I love that city and state and actually wish to live their one day. As far as the Titans. As much as i love Tennesse, i would have to move on to wherever my Titans go. Im a fan of the Titans organization more than the Area. What are your guys takes? Most Texans fans are still bitter about the oilers leaving so they went to the texans so would guys on this board who live in tennessee(I think titans jeff) actually cheer for another tennessee team? Think about it, hmm:bighomer:

    I followed my favorite franchise when it packed up and moved. (and I love my state)

    Alot of ppl are bitter. Alot call me a traitor, etc. Plenty of people are still split on whether to support the Texans or the Titans.

    Personally you aren't a TRUE fan if you can ONLY love something because its right on your doorstep. I can understand if you START loving it because its local but if you truly love it you'd allow it to be "free to roam" and still hold it in your heart!

    FYI it may be an easier decision for me cuz' I don't live in HOU...I live in Austin. But even if I was in HOU I'd still support my Oile....err..I mean Titans :)

    FYI2 - I don't even like UT sports (school is fine but UT fans are OBNOXIOUS AS HELL most of the time) so it took me a while to warm up to VY when he first got onto my FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM since he still had some "Texas University" taint. But as a true fan I overcame my aversion early and am glad I did.

    lol another note (last one I swear): I still have to deal with some of those same obnoxious TU people rooting for MY team ONLY cuz' VY is playing....it irks me to no end. Some freaks hoping they do bad only cuz VY had to sit out last and some of this year.....which did nothing but make him both a better player and better human being.

    I think we all need a timeout every once in a while. If you don't you may end up like a obnoxious TU fan!!!!!!! :p

    I'm a fan because of Steve McNair. I remember the Super Bowl season being 10 and watching the game and fell in love with the Titans. Once McNair left I could shake watching Titans games. So I guess if the Titans moved i'd be a Titans fan?

    since i have no local ties to Tennessee I'm definitely a titans fan, so if they moved i would still follow. But i wouldn't want the team to move because the Tennessee fans are some of the greatest. Venue is always sold out, Single game tickets move at an amazing pace even in an economic downturn, they are loud and proud and the people from what i've seen on the TOMB, gotitans, and mcm is that they are some good people as well.

    Since I live in Maryland, doesn't matter to me where the team is. I didn't start watching football until 2002, so I wasn't into it when the Titans were the Houston Oilers. If they were to move from Tennessee, I would still be a Titan fan.

    If the Titans move I hope they move to Lake Charles, LA! Just saying!

    I was an Oilers fan and now a Titans fan and will remain a fan of the team no matter where they go.

    Good thread. Yeah, been with the Oilers since I was a kid and would stay wherever the Titans moved to...but lets hope they stay with Tennessee for a longgggg time. I love visiting Nashville when I get a chance to go to a game.
