Games Started last season - Foster 16, Williams 0
Carries last season - Foster 247, Williams 144
Yards last season - Foster 876, Williams 717

Just a rule of thumb, but the 1st back is generally the starter and the guy who gets the majority of the carries. Last year that was Foster.

Williams had 717 yards last year, not 1200.

And I agree that the Panthers will still have two backs split carries. Williams is a productive RB in a 2-back rotation. Right now, if they don't add a RB during the draft he's slated to have 400 carries next season. He sure as hell can't stand up to that.

Adding a RB makes sense for Carolina. It may not be Mendenhall in the 1st (if there is a better player at O-Tackle available), but Minnesota showed the value in 2 starting caliber-RBs last year.

I was wondering where he got the Dwill got 1200 yards? Pro Bowl caliber? Are you serious?!! I live in NC and let me tell you the fans here would LOVE a stud RB. Dwill is injury prone. He is not a POUND it Back. He was amazing in college, but that hasnt transfered to the pros yet. I hope it does, I like him a lot coming out of college.

With the players left on the board, my order of preference would be:

    1. Antoine Cason
    2. Quentin Groves
    3. Jonathon Stewart
    4. Limas Sweed

    Ok here we go!!!

There are 3 teams yet to pick before we are on the clock.
    Washington
    Dallas
    Pittsburgh

Here are the top players I am considering:

    Jonathan Stewart RB
    Limas Sweed WR
    Kentwan Balmer DT
    Anton Cason CB
    Quenton Groves DE
    James Hardy WR

(edited - Merling removed because he was selected)

Also available, but not really considering (for various reasons):
    Brohm(need), Phillips(need), Connor(need), Manningham(weed)

I'm gonna put a poll up here but feel free to comment here as well!!!

    Go Pack!!!

    Go Titans!!!

Carolina does love a stud RB. And his name is Deangelo Williams.
Again, Carolina fans are pizzed that Foster got ANY carries, much less the majority. They understand D is the truth, it's just up to the coaches to do the same.
They do need another RB, I expected them to go after Fargas or Turner, because those would compliment Williams most. It'll be a back of that caliber though. Of course Williams isn't a "pound it" back. Whoever said he was?

I got 1200 by the career stat on accident, but regardless. The guy still is by far better. He had 4 more touchdowns, 2 more YPC, and almost as many yards with far less carries. He's the #1, whether the coaches know it or not, everyone else does.
