Keep it coming Gunny, don't quit dude, never quit when your on a Roll )
You won't find a quote or anything but based on comments from Reese and Fisher from the day Young was drafted to Chow's comments just three days before Young was named the starter in practice, you have to know Bud had a major influence here.
No one is looking at the facts here. Because thats all we have to go on is the "FACTS".
1. Fisher said that he and the coaching staff agreed that VY is ready to start.
2. VY has shown that he in fact was ready to start.
So why can't what Fisher said be true? Of course Bud probably wanted him to start. But that doesn't in anyway mean that he "forced" them to start him.
And really the bottom line is who cares. VY is the future and...the FUTURE is now.
You got any proof he didn't? Bud was the one who talked so highly of Young before the draft. McNair wasn't a hometown boy that could be rub into Houston's face
But Young's first start wasn't against Houston....
I think they just finally accepted that Collins is crap and that Young was already a much better QB. Of course, some people will probably still claim that Collins is a misunderstood probowl caliber QB...
peter king sure thinks that Bud Adams told fisher to start him...i trust peter on inside nfl knowledge....
peter king is a blow hard.
Thats the weakest comeback anyone can have.
