At first hat look does come off as silly as hell, but it grows on you.. Without that get-up he's just another suit...

 

It does not. I have to constantly point out sarcasm on here as well.

 

Just shows how inept they really are if they had a "QB Whisperer" on staff but was using him for a TE coach.... How stupid is that.

Come on man....you're going to judge every HC'ing hire based on what Belichick did or didn't do before he got the Patriots job? First of all, Belichick didn't really make a name for himself until he STUMBLED upon Tom Brady, who turned out to be a rare bird. Drew Bledsoe was just so-so. When Brady retires, we will find out how good of a coach Belichick really is. Can he make the playoffs every year....with another QB, long term? Maybe, maybe not. We will see. But we saw what happened in Indy, when Peyton was out with a neck injury....that same team that was in the playoffs every year, suddenly hit rock bottom, overnight. I'm inclined to think Belichick won't be so successful once Brady retires.

Secondly, Mularky had failed not once, not twice, but thrice! Hello? Judging wins and losses is about the only way a team can measure a prospect's future potential. Your line of reasoning is the same as those who always throw up the fact that Brady was a 6th Rd pick. Problem with that failed logic is....the odds of a QB taken that late in the draft ever becoming a long term starter is minuscule. Most don't even stay in the league, as a backup past their first contract.

Same thing applies to coaches. It rare air to hire a coach with a losing record and expect he will be the answer.
