    i have to say i didnt see us re-signing long. i guess they are pleased with his progress from the torn achillies.

    Titans Sign Long, Wand and Woods

    SUMMARY: The Titans signed three of their own today as they reached agreement with DT Rien Long, T Seth Wand and LB LeVar Woods. Long was out the entire 2006 season with a serious Achille\'s injury. Wand is expected to play a backup role at tackle behind Michael Roos and David Stewart. Woods main role will be in special teams. Terms of the agreements were not released.

    I'd guess they signed him to a cheap 1-year deal that would let him show what he has and then become a free agent again. And if he isn't healthy, they can probably cut him with little cap loss.

    You forgot the zeros, $28.50, $10.50 signing bonus. If a penny more, we got ripped!
    Re-signing Long is a huge surprise to me. I figured he was done. He had to be very cheap realizing we were his only hope.

    Probably a one-year deal. The Titans will get him on the cheap and Long is hoping his big payday is in '08.
