Titans release Egboh, Kropog

    The Titans released defensive end Pannel Egboh and tackle Troy Kropog on Tuesday, in order to get down to the 53-man roster limit.

    The moves were necessary after wide receiver Kenny Britt returned from his one-week suspension, and after the Titans’ signing of guard Deuce Lutui.

    Lutui has played in 93 games for the Arizona Cardinals – and started 72 – over the past six seasons. He didn’t start any games for Arizona last year, but appeared in 15 contests.

    Egboh’s release is a bit of a surprise, considering he was getting some first-team reps for a few weeks during training camp. He was on the practice squad last year and had been looking forward to playing in his first NFL game.

    The Titans chose to keep other undrafted defensive linemen like DaJohn Harris and Keyunta Dawson, two of the surprises to make the 53-man roster in the first place.

    Kropog has played in seven games for the Titans, including last Sunday’s, over three seasons with Tennessee.

    Titans release Fisher 2009 4th round pick OT Troy Kropog
    Purely speculation, I'm just connecting the dots. But Fisher did draft him and the Rams are thin at OT.

    Kropog never impressed me, but Egboh did at times. Too bad for him, thought he might be good.

    Egboh had just recently talked about how hard he worked with the PS and now he got his big chance to start or get into games.....then he get released one game into the season when he made the 53 man roster. I bet he feels like #$%^ right now.
