Once the QB goes out of the pocket there is no such thing as illegal contact.

Or that is what some guy on the internet told me.

 

So if a QB leaves the pocket, they're allowed to shove all the WR's to the ground or trip them?

 

The spot they gave us on the Locker sneak was atrocious.

That is correct. If the QB leaves the pocket the rule for illegal contact no longer applies, however the rules for PI, holding and tripping are still in effect.

 

I also had no idea you could line up 6 men on the LOS leaving the end uncovered.

Used to be illegal. 5 yd penatly and under 2 min either cost you a TO or 10 sec run off.

With that said, I hope the Titans and Saints NEVER have another game this season with Mike Carey and crew. The flow of the game was atrocious. I do not recall a game with 15 penalties in 1st half ever. ( edit: set an NFL record. go figure )

ps....why arent the Titans starting Jake Locker? I know Matt is a wiley ole vet n all, but this kid has game. Liked the draft pick, liked him at Washington. Seems like now, even if Matt gets better, is time to give him the ball.
