Titans rookie DT out for season

    Well.. Its not that bad. He wasn't going to be a starter anyways. Maybe sitting on the bench the full season watching big Al and Tony play will get him ready for next year

    Not good for a rookie's long-term future when you get injured in the first training camp. Hopefully he'll make a clean recovery and have a chance next year.

    I'm more concerned with all the players being held out of practice... All 3 of the third year WRs were out, Haynesworth, Starks, Laboy, Mahelona... these are the guys that need to STEP UP, and they aren't even making it through camp.

    I guess it's just camp, but these guys need to be ready to play in one week! These are the guys playing for their jobs!

    This is the most excited I've ever been about a preseason game. I want to see who wins the starting jobs.

    Bummer. But I guess not much was expected from him this year as he was dubbed a "project".

    We were kinda stacked at DT, at least from a depth point of view. I'd guess Mahelona and Long make it and get to show what they have. Hopefully Mahelona is better this year, and Long at least close to his old self after awhile of getting back in the grove.

    Rookie DT Johnson Out for Season

    SUMMARY: In the first major injury of training camp, rookie DT Antonio Johnson will miss the entire season due to an ACL injury suffered during a one-on-one drill. Coach Jeff Fisher said he was disappointed to lose the fifth-rounder from Mississippi State who was expected to earn a spot in the interior line rotation. He is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the '08 training camp. Fisher did not mention whether or not the team would bring in another DT for the remainder of training camp.

    Some vets learn to "nurse those hamstrings" before preseason begins....they know the drill and will be ready to play. I don't really mind....you can get burned out doing 4 preseason games, 16 regular season and hopefully playoffs.
