And considering that a contract isn't saying 'have x dollars for x years', they have to work out terms, length, incentives, signing bonus, pay per year, roster bonuses etc.

 

They probaly started working on a contract before FA so they could hopefully sign AH as soon as possible.

 

We were not short on money according to Mike Reinfeldt, so I don't think that was the issue at all. I think if the Titans have suspicion that there was tampering then by all means go for it and not for the fact that they was willing to pay more but because they may have broke the rules and we could benefit with draft picks. It will also show what a loser backdoor team he went to.
