    I loved those little scrappy cbs. And if you remember they lived to play man and hated to play zone. They would even wag their fingers with a two in disgust when playing zone! Too bad Elway ruined that team twice and Schotty never got to the promised land while Elway got there only to be crushed!!!

    I used to love watching teams with a great pair of cbs (I played CB in hs). Hanford and Minnifield, that great KC secondary with Ross and company (4pro bowlers), but my favorite goes back to the Raiders in the early '80s with Lester Hayes and Mike Haynes!!! Talk about 2 great cbs and they had some epic matchups...like when they went against a young hof QB in Marino with Duper and Clayton!!! And I loved Hayes with all the stickum! He had one of the greatest seasons a CB could have in terms of INT's (especially if you add regular season and playoffs) in like '83 I think.

    Or Mel Blount...who was so good they had to change the rules!!! Now THAT is a CB!!!

    Course, they also changed the stickum rule after Lester Hayes too!!!

    But you can't only talk about the contact from secondary players. Back in the '70's, you were taking your life and career in your hands going across the middle because MLBs would absolutely anihilate you!!!

    It was 1980 I believe. Hayes had 13 picks in 12 regular season games and 5 picks in 4 playoff games. Amazing.

    I wonder if the Titans bring up D'joun if Mccourty is going to be out for a game or two. We have an empty roster spot after moving Klug to IR. It would be interesting to see what he's got.
