I'm not saying Brown can't be a productive running back. Don't misinterpret my posts.

What I'm saying is that we can get by having 2 RBs that don't play special teams on our roster, but I doubt we can get by with 3.

If White or Henry went on IR, I'd be okay with bringing Brown in as a #2, provided we can get a #3 that contributes something on special teams.

Watson is most definitely better than Brown. He's been a steady #2, effective 3rd down back. Bengals like Irons but with constant injuries to other backs besides Rudi I don't know if he gets cut loose anyway...

Actually, that's exactly what I'm looking for.

At this point, the Titans' RB situation is a quagmire. (Giggity-giggity.....aw-riiiight.) Not only are we lacking a designated starter, we don't have a RB on the roster who's scored a TD in the NFL.

If White/CHenry/Ganther can't beat out Chris Brown for the #1 job, then they don't deserve the job. Period.

I could care less about filling slots or defining roles; I'm interested in doing whatever it takes to put the best players on the field, and make the team better. And if Chris Brown is the best player available....and I believe he is....then by all means, sign him up.

Okay, aside from all this arguing, the people who are talking about how people were trashiung Travis Henry last offseason are right, none of us know what CB will do if he comes back, its just like when we brought in KVB, he was injury prone, and now he has turned out good for us, and if CB beats out LW and C-Henry then obviously the other two didnt deserve to be the #1. I just dont see where all the hate comes from, we dont know if he will get injured, what if he stays healthy and runs for 1500 yards? Now that is wishful thinking at this point but why not just let it play out and see how it goes..?

    Well said.
The Titans obviously are not real confident in LW considering we used a 2nd round pick on another RB. The Titans obviously are having reservations about C. Henry being ready, not only is he a rookie but he may need more time because of his lack of experience in college and they are apparently seriously looking at Brown. Under those conditions bring Brown in and let him compete with the other guys and if he proves to be the better player give him the ball. It is the coaches job to put players into situations where they can succeed so if LW or C. Henry is the better option in short yardage give them that role.

I would bet if Brown is in great shape and considering he already knows the Titans offense that he would come in and from the start be our most impressive RB. If that is so give him the ball. LW got a pass last year because the Titans knew Brown was in the last year of his contract, that T. Henry was probably going to be a question mark with his bonus coming up so Brown basically got the shaft (not that asking for a trade helped him either). LW has not stepped up to the plate and at this point I'd rather keep Brown and let LW walk.

This is second round of OTA's, mini-camp, etc. So his is in year two. I'm referencing the fact that he missed a significant portion of OTA's last year with hammy issues also.

    Cruds..

Watson better than brown? Please make your case. Watson has carried the football just 51 times in the last 4 seasons. He has had three seasons in his career when he did nothing.

As far as i know watson has never been a #2 back on merit. It is usually because of injury when he gets to play. Watson hasn't done much of anything since 2002.

I like watson and i have the good sense to know that he is fine for us as a #3. I wouldn't complain of having him here but his accomplishments have hardly merited being called better than brown.

Could we get something straight? Chris Brown was GREAT when he wasn't limping off the field. Now, he does limp off the field AFTER every carry, but those carries are usually good ones.
I trust Chris Brown's skills far more than I do Chris Henry's or LenDale's at this point. I just wish he'd toughen up somehow. People seem to act like just because he's fragile that he sucks as an RB. Not even close.

  10. well then it doesnt matter if we get him back, because Lendale beat him out last year
