Come on now like the 3rd string Saints QB would see 20M in his career much less lifetime? Going to make it in football no matter what.

    (scratching head)

  3. Sure, but then he'll have to pay 2 separate sets of lawyers...

  4. Gotta love legalese.

Here's one of the damages apparently suffered by McPherson during the tragic incident: "The loss of the pleasures and enjoyment of life".

    $20mil my butt..
here's an idiot taking advantage of a situation and going way
overboard with his case. This guy has been trouble eversince he was in
    college..

    Quote from Wikipedia
"McPherson was tried on allegations that he bet on pro and college
football games in the spring of 2003. During the trial McPherson's
lawyer attacked the University and legendary head coach Bobby Bowden.
After a hung jury failed to convict McPherson, he tried to enroll at
Tennessee State but when it became clear the NCAA wasn't going to
allow him to play collegiate sports, he chose to turn pro and sign
with the Indiana Firebirds of the AFL, where he threw 61 touchdowns
and only 5 interceptions, and ran for 19 touchdowns. He could have
opted for the 2004 NFL Draft or a Supplemental Draft but chose to pay
his dues in the AFL and prove to the NFL that he has matured.
McPherson was denied an opportunity to compete in FSU's annual spring
NFL proday for obvious reasons. Later that spring McPherson was
selected by the New Orleans Saints in the 5th round of the 2005 NFL
    Draft."

He hasen't made a throw in 05, so why would it be different in 06.
Sure he got injured and was put on injured reserve.. but it wasen't
like he was going to play anyway. He was predicted to be a benchwarmer anyway. I bet he's happy he got run over by T-Rac.

IMO the only compensation this buttplug deserves is his base salary as
well as $25,000 max to cover all the other losses he claims to be
    reason for the accident.

btw.. The December 15 complaint attached to the article appears bogus. I have doubts about the credibility of that complaint sheet let alone the website as a whole. other headlines on that site also reads "The Dog Dialed 911" and "Dressing Befouler Booked - the alleged Illinois H.S. cafeteria condiment soiler"

I know little about what makes a case or not, but the way I look at it is that if there was intent to harm, I'd sue, but if not, I look at it in most cases as just one of those things that happens in life, almost on a daily basis, and no reason to sue. There are some cases where negligence directly leads to harm, but you'd really have to make profound case for me to support it ethically.

I remember the dog dialing 911. I believe it was a speed dial setting that he accidently hit while trying to order a pizza.
