The Titans listed punter Brett Kern (calf) as probable for Sunday’s game and listed four players – tackle David Stewart (calf), running back Shonn Greene (knee), wide receiver Damian Williams (hamstring) and linebacker Zaviar Gooden (ankle) – as questionable.

Stewart was a full participant in Friday’s practice and should be ready to play against Houston. Gooden also practiced, but Titans coach Mike Munchak has said the rookie is likely to sit out until the following week.

Neither Greene nor Williams practiced at all Friday, and Munchak said the presence of Jackie Battle might make it easier to sit Greene for an extra week.

“That helps us, no doubt about it,” Munchak said. “He’s getting better every day, but getting better is one thing, playing in the game is another. We’ll see how he is tomorrow, but it helps us a lot, having Jackie.”

If Williams isn’t available, rookie Justin Hunter – the team’s second-round pick – may well make his NFL debut.

“(Hunter) is ready to go,” Munchak said. “He’s gotten better every day, every week he’s been here. He has a better understanding of the offense. Damian did not practice (all week), so (Hunter) got a lot of reps and Michael Preston got a lot of reps.

“We have confidence in (Hunter). We know he can make plays for us. He’s a different type player for us. If gets a chance, I know he’ll make the best of it.”

Surprisingly Williams not playing would be a *****. He seems to be one of the most improved and more reliable Titans in 2013.

Wright, Hunter and Williams in 2014. I can live with that starting trio.
    The Hammer high fives this.

That's most likely what we will have. Along with Preston.

I have been expecting a breakout year for Williams this year. It would really suck if he is bothered by this hamstring a lot this year.
