Titans to begin $2 tax on Tickets

why not Tennessee State events. They get around to holding a classic or two and they will sell it out. that would be around $150k right there. As for the other TSU "home" games they sometimes fill 1/3 of the lower bowl on one side so over the course of a season they would probably contribute $100k. I say make them pay too!

 

If you allow this to happen, which you will, you have given up a lot more than $2 per game. This tax is going to escalate quickly. And to think your $2 is going to go into improvements for the stadium is a poor assessment. It may go to that the first couple of years, but it won't last, eventually, that money becomes a profit center, and as administrations turn over, the tax will increase substantially, and they will count on it to pay for other expenses. Additionally, there will be new taxes. It's a precedent. You will pay it, and it will become a blackhole to your wages.

This is an event horizon for you, and there's nothing you will or can do about it.

You probably won't even notice it, because it will be electronic cash, and life will go on, and the Titans will get richer, and the state of TN will get richer.

And next year, you will pay a 10 cents tax on your recycleable food trays.

And nobody will care, because the Titans make you happy. The product is incredibly elastic.

 

An added $2 per home game won't cause much uproar.

definitely a good thing, I don't want the game interrupted because someone threw you off the third tier...unless you landed on Manning.

 

What will end up happening is the games will be sold out but no one will be there. This just puts the pressure on the scalpers.

 

if i did go i would be setting in the box.
