I like the light blue jersey with light blue pants for Monday Night games or prime time games, even if they do look like pajamas. I would like to have the Navy jersey on white pants for all home games.

That sword running down the pants is kind of interesting, and the three stripes on the helmet is a good idea too. Lose those pointy stripes and replace them with the light and dark blue.

I like the light blue socks with navy pants idea. I also like the more traditional blue helmet stripes except leave out the light blue stripe in the middle

If your post is any inkling of what that forum is like, I don’t think I’d like it very much because the general consensus you cite seems to be unnecessarily critical - almost snobbish like the place is frequented by fashionistas or something.

I like the Titans uniforms even if their “elements” don’t “balance”, even though they “mix” too much, even though they wear the same shade of jersey and pants sometimes, even though the helmet has two pointy stripes, and even though the navy socks make the navy pants look like leotards.

The college team I root for has had essentially the same uniforms since about 1961 so I find the Titans’ mixing and matching greatly amusing and highly entertaining. And I can’t say I’ve ever found any fault in it.

Yeah, the helmet is white, but so are the numbers and the stripes down the pants. Half of the time the jerseys are white and sometimes the pants are even white. I don’t see what the problem is.

And as for socks – I can’t really say I give a care.

But what I find particularly galling about the original post is the comparison of the Titans to what you call “the most respected franchises in the league” and parenthetically identify as the Steelers, Packers and Colts.

Why do the Colts have two stripes on their jerseys and pants and only one on their helmet?

Why do the Steelers have one narrow stripe on their helmets, one thick stripe on their pants and a weird combination of stripes on their sleeves?

Why do the Packers have the same old tired white stripe bordered by darker stripes on their helmet and pants that you used to see on nearly every ‘60s NFL uniform and still see on the holdovers from the sixties?

You see, the uniforms of every NFL team have their inconsistencies and imperfections that can be mocked.

    Why criticize the Titans?

It's a snobbish place for sure. Designers don't really have a lot of time for stuff they don't care for.

This really, really bothers me and most other uniform snobs.

Why change something that works? They invented that look, they didn't copy it. Plus, it looks fantastic.
