Oh, well in that case, does anyone recall me saying Ayers was going to play DE? I remember lots and lots of people not buying that back when I made those claims.

I don't remember.. but it was a good call. The staff has not one creative bone in their body.. "OH, this guy's a linebacker AND a good pass rusher!" "Yeah, let's make him a defensive end!"

Welcome to the 2000s, Titans coaching staff, where linebackers are allowed to blitz nowadays.

Part of a good pass rush is not knowing where the blitzer is coming from. They eliminate that by making it obvious that he is going to rush.

I don't mind them giving away the plan by putting him in a 3-point stance, he beats people 1-on-1, I just want him rushing more, a lot more actually.

When McCarthy was out, Ayers was playing nickel.

It really says something horrible about our stable of DEs, when they are replaced on passing downs with a LB playing out of position. Cut them all.

If we have multiple DEs we don't want out there on passing situations (where DE's earn their paychecks) then I'd rather not have them on the roster.

think of Ayers as a LaMarr Woodley in a 3-4 (not saying they are the same player) but same concept
