The Titans plan to pay tribute to O.J. Murdock with a sticker on the back of their helmets this season.

Murdock, signed by the Titans an undrafted in 2011, died of what police called an apparent suicide last month. Murdock spent last season on Injured Reserve, and was scheduled to go through training camp with the team this year. But Murdock, a receiver, never reported to the team.

The decal the Titans will wear is black, with the letters, “O.J.”

Murdock’s mother, Jamesena Murdock, told the Tampa Tribune the family has decided to donate his brain tissue to researchers studying the effects of repetitive traumatic head injuries.
