SUMMARY: The Titans WRs had numerous drops yesterday and are not doing enough to help Vince Young be productive in the offense. "We were inconsistent with our routes, we were inconsistent with our hands and we slipped a little bit," said Coach Jeff Fisher. "I don’t think we played as well as we had been playing out there. We addressed that this morning and it has to improve, all of it." Fisher pointed out that many of those who made errors yesterday we also those returning from injury such as Roydell Williams and Bobby Wade. "We identified the problems during the game, after the game and we discussed it. These guys will respond. They’ll work hard. We’ll spend a little extra time I’m sure, before practice, during practice or after practice with them. It becomes especially important this week, as far as Vince being comfortable with where everybody is going to be, considering the unorthodox defense we have ahead of us."

Why these guys keep dropping passes game after game and season after season is beyond my comprehension. It's not like the Titans have a laser thrower at QB like Favre. It's already frustrating to see Young's inaccuracy building up every game, but when he gets one right, they drop it.

  4. how can u say that his inaccuracy is building?

It wouldn't hurt if the QB threw more catchable balls.

the recievers have to catch the ball and make a play on it...VY's passes arent perfect but the WRs dont make a play on the ball!

If the receiver gets both hands on the ball, then it's a catchable ball. There are very few exceptions to this rule.

It may not be a perfect pass, and it might require some effort on the receiver's part....but if it hits him squarely in the hands, he's got to make the catch.

Nobody is expecting the Titans' WR's to work miracles, here....all we're asking is that they do their jobs. And their failure to do so yesterday was a huge factor in the team's struggles.
