    all of last season we had a total of ONE game where cox/mccourty were on at the same time. we got rid of griffin and signed reshad(huge upgrade), and we'll be getting morgan back who missed significant time.

    When you're relying on Jason McCourty and Perrish Cox to be your #1 and #2 corners, you're in trouble. Cox has been cut like five times in his career and McCourty has been nothing better than above average in his career.

    Rashad Johnson is not a "huge" upgrade over Griffin. He's just as bad of a tackler and slightly better in coverage. The only positive is he gets Searcy back into the SS role. If Johnson was any good he wouldn't have taken a one-year deal with the worst team in the league.

    Who on this defense is capable of wrecking a game? Casey is a good player, maybe even a very good player, but he has never taken over a game before. He's the best we have.

    There is no athleticism at LB or in the secondary.

    Reshad Johnson is a huge upgrade. You are underestimating him greatly. Last season his numbers were down a bit due to the plethora of good safeties the Cardinals somehow have.

    He took a 1 year deal with the worst team in the league because his Dad lives in Alabama and has cancer and he didn't know if he was going to make it, FYI. (heard he's doing better now though)

    So, the reported $10 million buy out option on Taylors contract was bogus. There is no buy out option.

    $9.5 million this season and they would have to pay him $27.5 million guaranteed for 2017. There's no way they pay Taylor that kind of money. It was stupid to offer that contract and stupid to take that contract considering both parties know Taylor isn't getting that $27.5m next year.
