U Play GM - Titans # 1 Need?

We had our play-maker..a player that every GM becomes envious of the other for...but wait..he isn't any of that any more.

 

he was today, and we won!

 

I think Center/DL at 1 & 2..in either order.

 

1. Center, only major need i see, takes care of most offensive problems
2. Safety, though we may have the one we need on the field now
3. a full offseason

 

Are you watching the games? Casey plays as much as any DT we have.

 

I don't think we are desperate on the D-line. Casey has played well and he is only 21. Morgan is coming off the surgery and is basically a rookie this year based on his experience. Jones is playing his first season as a DE and seems to be coming on.

Marks is even playing a little better.


We have used a lot of draft capital on the D-line already so we have to live with what we got. Any improvement will have to come from free agency or trade.

Based on how McCarthy played today we look set at MLB for a long time to come.

 

I really think that this is the year that we go early on an interior OL. Maybe not in 1st round (interior OL usually don't go high anyway), but I would definitely be looking at this on Saturday of the draft.

 

agreed. resign Finnegan. draft a MLB in later rounds to backup Mccarthy and draft a SS in round 3. otherwise improve the line by not resigning Scott...draft a center or guard in the top two rounds. start Velasco next year and give the rookie draft pick tons of reps. later rounds best player available

 

Agreed on the playmaker/BPA comments. If you have a chance to get one of the handful of players that you feel strongly about, you must take it.

Beyond that, interior OL, LB, and safety.

 

I think our biggest need is a playmaker, like most people have been saying. Then we need a new starting SS and OC.

Playmaker could be used at WR, RB, LB, SS, DE, or DT... basically any position. Just throwing some names out there: Justin Blackmon, Alshon Jeffrey, Trent Richardson, Vontaze Burfict, Luke Kuechly, Alameda Ta'amu.

I think my dream draft would be: 1st Blackmon, 2nd OC, 3rd SS, 4th DL then target a pass rush specialist in the free agency.
