Unique Titans offense may offer advantage

so if we run it instead to keep the play clock running and don't get a first, do they then use a timeout getting the ball back with same amount of time on the clock? doesn't work in my mind. They were down to the 2 yard line, with 2 mins left in the game, our d was tired and they moved the ball like it was nothing. I can't blame the d as they fought all game but our offense couldn't move the ball 10 yards???
