Ah... I see. You guys look at college football like most teenage girls I know.

Fortunately, College coaches are a bit more in to the sport and it's histroy rather than just the past 5 years. Most these guys grew up watching these programs and haven't only been watching college football for the past 7 years like most of you. (or at least it seems)

Oh. And in case you haven't watched this season: Florida sucks again. Even more than Michigan.

Oh I see you're using your homerism to try and manipulate an argument again. Kinda like that time you said DeAngelo Williams wasn't a 1 year wonder but Darren McFadden is. Deuce, you never disappoint.

Christ, you are dense. I understand that UF doesn't have the history of those other programs...but things do change....I know that's hard to believe. But what they have done has been dominant for 20 straight years. 12 10 win seasons & 3 diamond footballs.

Facilities, fan support, money, perfect recruiting location....what more could a coach want? I absolutely loathe UF, but if you don't think it's arguably the best job in the country then you need your freaking head checked.

They win NOW & that means a lot more to recruits, coaches and fans than a brochure illustrating what the program did during the Jim Crow era. Wake up, Gloat.

When was the last time Michigan was relevant at anything sports related? Their basketball program has been garbage since the Fab Five. Their football program hasn't been relevant since the #1 vs #2 match against OSU.

Maybe women's field hockey is big in Michigan?...

Uhh... the football program was ranked #2 in the country until they lost the last game of the season just 4 years ago (to the #1 team in the country).

But keep proving how you guys don't watch or know the sport outside of the SEC.

It's not homerism. It's understanding of sports history.

It's a top 5-10 football program in NCAA history. That probably doesn't mean anything to a bunch of kids, but to older guys that study the game and grew up watching it? Yeah... better believe it.

Another person that doesn't watch football outside of his favorite team and sports center. D-Williams has averaged almost 5 ypc every season.

For his career he averages just as many as Chris Johnson does per carry. Think about that for a second then get back to me...

McFadden? He's going to be a career 3ypc guy outside of this fluke year where he's tore up terrible defenses. 2 yards vs Miami? 14 vs Pitt? 47 vs Houston? Oh but he had 145 and 165 vs Denver and St Louis!! Impressive!! 12 tds in his 3 year career. Watch out LT... he's coming for that record!!

Please, tell me Knowshon Moreno is great too while you're on this roll of yours.

Nobody is saying Michigan sucks dude. Michigan is a great program and a great job. Quit going back to the SEC versus the world argument....what conference they play in is irrelevant.

I also find it hilarious & ironic that you are calling everyone homers when you're literally the only person I know (regardless of allegiance) that believes Michigan is a better job than Florida. One of the most blatant & delusional homerisms I've ever seen.

History means nothing today, if the program has fallen far. Indiana was a powerhouse in basketball. It would be a pipe dream for them to get any great recruits at this stage in time.

Notre Dame or Michigan are not better coaching jobs than UF, because 18 year olds do not value tradition like they used to. They'd rather go to UT, UF, or USC where they are stars, instead of cold @ss Northern Indiana or Michigan. Most 18 year olds don't care how good their team was before they were born. They want to be on a team where they are in big bowls, getting big attention.

    It's all about the recruits.

Yes it is. And this generation of recruits are all about "what can you do for me?".

    1) Proximity to home
    2) Relationship with coach
    3) Winning NOW
    4) Tradition
    5) Facilities

In order, that's what these recruits are looking for & that's why Texas & UF are such great jobs. Their coaches can throw a rock from their office window & hit multiple 5 star recruits that are dying to play there.
