Maybe they should stop hiring scrubs then and get a new AD that knows what he's doing.

    Just a thought.

I believe couple of years ago that Florida and Alabama had a similar debt.

Stadium renovations and major money being spent on sports that have zero to little return are putting the athletic department in debt.

It would help though if the football team could sniff an actual bowl game.

I don't think their ticket sales are hurting honestly.. it's something else. Maybe I'm wrong, but the majority have season tickets there

Attendance is way down. It is at like 40 year lows.

60,000 reported at a couple games.

    That is 40,000 empty seats.

Well something is wrong. TV revenue is shared equally in the SEC so it is not like the fact they are not on national TV as much could be an impact. I think bowl game revenue is shared to a certain extent as well.

Empty seats and tickets sold are two different things though. I still think their ticket sales are fine.. just a hunch..

Even if the tickets are paid for they still lose concession and parking money with empty seats. Should not account for $200 mil but it does count for a lot.

The Florida game was the only sell out or near sell out. I only missed one home game and saw a lot of empty seats. I know people that have passed on purchasing season tickets because the are expensive in relation to the the mediocre showing of the team. Apparently fans mis-understood the meaning of homecoming and stayed home.
