Just curious to think what the consensus on this would be. He'll be a RFA and likely have the 1st round restriction. He's a top receiver/route runner in the game, I think he's worth a 1st. I wouldn't want to get him just because we have so many other needs though. But I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if we offered him and the Giants didn't match..

He'll never get out of New York, but I'd love to have him on our team, I'd honestly trade/cut anyone we have to make it happen, he's that good.

Nope we have too many other needs right now. We need our 1st round this year. Now if we could give up our 1st round next year, i'd do it!

Have to give him a huge contract and give up the #10 pick. That's just too expensive.

Makes way more sense for a team with a late first-round pick.

Great player, but I'm not 100% sold. Give him a big check, take him away from home and his support system, give him a less consistent offense. I'm not sure how much of an impact that he'd have in Tennessee.

He went to college in Amherst, Massachusetts

    he could handle Nashville

but the New York/Jersey area LOVES him to death.

Victor Cruz is a beneficiary of a good/very good quarterback in Eli Manning. Just see how Manning helped Mario Manningham excel in 2010. Put Cruz in a system with a bad/mediocre/average quarterback like Jack Locker (or fill in that blank with Carson Palmer, Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassell, etc.) and he certainly becomes less effective. Thus he certainly wouldn't be worth a first. Especially when considering our glaring OL needs.

Anyway, it's not like he's a Vincent Jackson type receiver (big, tall, and fast) where he could overcome Locker's deficiencies. Cruz is a 6'0" receiver who is moderately fast, has good hands, and runs good routes. You can pick those guys up at a cheaper price... For example, Ryan Swope's combine measurables are VERY similar to Victor Cruz's (basically the same height and weight, broad jump, 20 yd shuttle), but Swope performed better in college and ran a faster 40 yard dash. And he's projected as a what, 3rd or 4th round pick?

I will say this though... Mike Wallace would sure be nice to have. I'd rank him ahead of Victor Cruz.

Victor Cruz as a top 3 NFL WR? lolololol

Just off the top of my head, it's hard to see how anyone could put Victor Cruz over Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, or Julio Jones.
