Rewatched the game and came to the conclusion that Mariota was having a very good day up until the turnovers with 2 mins left in the 3rd quarter. For majority of the game he was beautifully orchestrating the offense shifting guys around and dissecting the defense. That's something I didn't see him do much of last year. It's still all apart of the learning process of him becoming a complete qb. However he impressed me with how much he has grown in that area in just his second year. His stats before the int was 18 of 26 for 197 yards 1 TD. That's impressive to me considering the team we were facing. Obviously he forced the issue a bit in the 4th quarter but still showed the ability to give us a fighting chance up until the end. Even if you were to say well he did throw another int, well did it break his confidence? Or did he decide to lead his team down the field for a TD. It wasn't like the game was completely over. Don't confuse this with me trying to defend the turnovers. That's still a real issue that Mariota must find a way to overcome if we ever have a shot at winning games.

I thought he was having a very nice game up until the pick 6, I haven't rewatched the game but being there live it looked like he wanted the pass back almost immediately after he let it go. The Vikings don't have a bad defense so overall I thought he had some well thrown balls but he's got to cut down on turnovers period. I'm personally more concerned with the fact our pass rush didn't get to Hill a whole lot.

Man, you're WAY too into this. You may need to step back and think about things before you hurt yourself or someone else over a sport played for entertainment. It's not that serious.

Honestly, if I knew that I was as emotionally invested in football as you seem to be, I wouldn't even watch. You really seem like you're ready to jump off a building or something over a freaking football game! Relax...breathe...Maybe talk to a doctor about some meds...

You can tell me the same thing, because I am going to unload. I think back to Sunday when that guy posted that he was tired of getting worked up over a bunch of millionaires, and I wanted to agree with him, but another side of me has had enough of this total bull**** that has been going on for years around this town. I am sick of us hiring coaches that used to play. They are too buddy-buddy with the players, and this is one reason we have been losers for so many years. The very good coaches bring discipline to a team. You think Belichick puts up with the crap we have to endure here? Mularkey says that Sharpe didn't run his routes deep enough and left us in 3rd and 1's. OMG - our smashmouth offense needs a yard - how will we ever get it? First, I assume Tajae has been playing since middle school, where a first down was 10 yards, and in HS, where it was 10 yards, and in College, where it was 10 yards and I figure he knows it's 10 yards in the pros. So how in the world doesn't he know to go 10 yards? If he doesn't, fire the freaking receivers coach. Why didn't Matthews lay out for that pass? Because he's a freaking retread, doesn't give a rat's ass what uniform he is wearing - he is here for a paycheck. As you say, it's just a show. But I have to live here and endure this crap. With as many losses as we have had in the last 15 years we should have 10 pro bowlers by now. This team is mired in mediocrity, and will never get better with these lame coaches. I wish we could lure Parcells out of retirement. He would straighten this crap out. We have rookies that don't know ****, and veterans that don't give a ****. I am sick of all of it. This goes back to even McNair and VY on the sidelines laughing and grinning while we were losing. Nobody cared, and nobody did anything about it, including Fisher. This franchise is in terrible shape, and Mularkey isn't going to improve it. He's talking about the trick play with Henry, and saying that play went for a touchdown years ago. Really? What about the 500 others that didn't? You are blaming players for plays that are called without the right people on the field to execute them. Saying Henry has to get that yard. What BS! How is Henry, who is all upperbody muscle going to stiffarm someone around his ankles? You should have had Fowler or Andrews in there if you wanted a power play. They run over people and have legs like tree trunks. Incidentally, I didn't see one jumbo set with two tight ends and a fullback. Smashmouth? Ha! Fowler had a total of 11 plays. Insane. You called out Douglas for being in the wrong place. The guy has been playing for years and doesn't know where to line up? Fine, either bench him or fire the coach. I had rather have Tre McBride, at least he gives a damn. These excuses have to stop. We are here to win games, not have summer camps or scrimmages for players that don't yet "get it". including Mariota. Take that potential to a coffee shop and see if it buys you anything. Oh yeah, we are rebuilding, like we have been for 16 years. Put Cassel in there if MM can't cut it, then Tanney if Cassel can't get it done. Find someone to run this team that limits mistakes. We are so fragile that any mistake and this team wants to quit. That's on you Mularkey. Stop being their friend and be their coach, or pack up and let someone else in here that will do the job they are hired to do.

It appears you haven't read (or haven't comprehended) my recent posts. I assure you I'm just fine. You're language is inflammatory on a personal level. (That means you are insulting.) Which indicates you lack confidence in your skill to communicate precisely.

Fans are fanatical. NFL is entertainment as is this board. People are entertained in many different ways. I'd prefer to be entertained with excellent football instead of chit. Trust me, I know everybody reading this is a "winner" whether or not the Titans win.

Time constraints won't allow me to write a lengthy discourse on how massively entertaining being a fan of this organization used to be. I'd estimate less than 10% of board experienced games 15 years ago. It would be nice to enjoy that entertainment again. Maybe you are right, in that this organization will never return to that level of entertainment success.

I think if you re-read the prior posts, you'll conclude I'm mainly interested in the Titans winning their home games. I can only imagine you don't know what it's like for 5 years to walk out of a stadium and see the team you support financially win less than 1 in 5 games. And none of those are "quality" wins.

Whew. Maybe they should hire you guys to pump up the players before the game and at half time! Or...they would probably think you're insane and have you escorted out by security.

Tired of paying to see a team lose? Simple, don't go.

No matter how much you ***** and cry on this message board, it's not going to change what happens on the field on Sundays.

I guess it's good to be passionate about some things... But being so passionate about watching a bunch of guys run and throw a ball is pretty silly.

I enjoy football, I really do. But win, lose or draw it doesn't affect my life a bit. I may get a little upset and maybe even yell at the TV or something... But you guys seem to be some next level fanatics. It's almost sad to see someone so fired up about a damn football game. Use that passion and anger to change some wrong in the world. Use your powers for good.

Last time I checked, this is a "fan message" board. Where the hell do you think fans go to "vent" their frustration? I assure you my fandom does not extend into my personal life.

Again, you are insulting in your assumptions. And you apparently still haven't comprehended what I wrote in prior posts.

And if you don't like the venting, take your own advice. Don't read the posts. But don't criticize until you are fully informed by reading. You come off as a moron that way.

I consider myself a next level fanatic. Losses bother me all week long, they really do. There isn't a day that goes by (even in the off season) where I don't think about the Titans. I count the days down til we are playing again. The only enjoyment I get out of NCAA is scouting potential future Titans players. I do this in hopes of seeing the guys that will make us a better football team. I am a crazy fanatic

But some of you sound really crazy lol. It was the first game. A non conference game. Trust me I'm freaking pissed and sad about it too but relax guys. I realize 0-1 isn't the end all be all, just like 1-0 hasn't been the end all be all for us as of late.

No point in dwelling. Lets put together a good game plan for this Sunday and bounce back.

Please clarify who is sounding "crazy"? I honestly haven't heard anybody going off that bad. Some are angry about the loss, others are more angry about losing ANOTHER home game. Some are disappointed that we yet again found another way to lose a game, particularly a home game. Some are concerned our franchise QB continues to fumble etc.

I haven't read anybody that's gone overboard about the season being a wash, or firing the HC or wholesale gloom and doom. And many have said that winning fixes everything. Especially at home.

And my personal beef/vent is that the fans, especially those loyal PSL holders, deserve some focus by the organization to provide some home wins to bring value to the entertainment.
