Congrats VY. 2 Pro Bowl Appearances in 4 seasons. Hopefully the next you won't have to start as an alternate.

That's awesome and all and VY had a heck of a come back and proved me absolutely wrong and I commend him for that...

The thing is.. At what point does the ProBowl lose its luster because its each year, guys become ProBowlers when in reality they aren't the ones who should be there. Like for example, Kerry Collins, was he REALLY a probowler last year? 13-3 is good an and all but that was a product of smash and dash and good defense, not 12 tds and 7 ints.

150 yards and less than a touchdown a game. Probably the most deserving award in the history of the world.

I wonder how many people in front of him said no. I would think Roethlisberger, Palmer and maybe Sanchez and Flacco all said no. I always kinda like watching the pro bowl just for something to do but I'll be out of town on that day so I'm not sure I'll see it this year, maybe record it.

I just happened to be listening to Colin Cowherd today, he was making a good point. He was saying, "Stats can say whatever you want them to say."

Its true. Stats don't win championships. That's why I was anti giving CJ the ball every single play. Clutch players win championships. VY has shown flashes of this through out his career. I can't argue with 8-2, although 0-6 in large part due to bad luck and inconsistency not to mention stubbornness by the coach that required owner intervention.

    When I talk about clutch...

Last years superbowl was a prime example. While the Steelers and Cardinals probably weren't the best two teams of 08, they were the two most clutch teams. The final 6 minutes of that game is proof.

Since VY shows signs of clutch thats why I have no problem with him being the future. My biggest concern with VY is injuries. If he's injured, CJ will have to make Kerry Collins a probowler again LOL

Getting back to CJ... I think I'm the only person on this board concerned with how much CJ has left in the tank for next season?

Sanchez let's not get caught in the moment most of the year he has been terrible he has learn to manage the game now. Let his defense and running game do the work. Flacco and Palmer have been up and down this year Big Ben is going to be a alternate also if Manning makes the Superbowl.

Great post. I'm concerned about that too. A lot of people make the point that he manages to avoid getting beat up and not take big hits. While that's true to some degree, you can't say a 2,000 yard season and the touches associated with it won't have an impact. Also, he had about 500 receiving yards with quite a bit of receptions and blocked a lot. He's young and is a great athlete so he'll be able to handle it, but I'm concerned with his extended future. I definitely don't want him to lose that explosiveness any time soon.

Go back and look at some of the blocks he threw last season. He saved both VY and KFC's hide a few times. Everytime i see the little fella blockin some 250-300lb athlete, i cringe because him getting injured on a block would be a travesty.

    Umm, why did Rivers withdraw?

And I don't know why VY is happy about being there. I would be embarrased to be there if I was the 5th-6th choice.
