Tight end Delanie Walker has made strides since returning to the practice field on Monday, but not enough to play against the Falcons on Saturday.

Titans coach Mike Munchak is still optimistic that Walker — who underwent offseason knee surgery — will be able to play in the preseason finale next Thursday at Minnesota.

“He’s doing a good job, doing more and more every day, but he hasn’t done a lot of the offense other than seven-on-seven drills,” Munchak said. “In some of our (team drills), he’s done those, and then when we’re doing our plays for the Atlanta game, he’s kind of stayed out of that and kind of done more of the (scout) team, to get his confidence up and his tempo and pace.”
