Washington Agrees to Terms with Titans

SUMMARY: The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms on a free-agent contract with WR Nate Washington and DT Jovan Haye. The Titans have called a 5 p.m. press conference to announce the agreements. Washington, 25, caught 40 passes for 631 yards and three touchdowns as the third wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season playing behind Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes. He will help to replace Brandon Jones, who departed as a free agent to the San Francisco 49ers over the weekend. Haye is a former Vanderbilt standout who had six sacks in '07 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Terms of the deals have not yet been announced.

I won't thank the football gods until some kind of miracle happens, like Housh suddenly going crazy and signing with us for the vet minimum. Though in retrospect, if he's gone loopy he likely won't be that good a receiver...

But I digress (heavily). It's a good fit, and a good signing. Looking forward to seeing how he does.
