And Fleener can run circles around Gronk. Blocking by TE's nowadays, it so overrated. It's all about the passing game in today's NFL. Most TE's just have to get a "body on a body" vs. a LB. Usually getting in the way and not getting blown up is more than adequate.

Well said sir. 6'6" 248... perhaps sub 4.5 forty. Yeah it would really suck having he and Cook against LB's, lol.

It's a wasted pick to go TE so early, Hasselbeck is an outside-in QB.

Personally I'm not thinking Hass... I'm considering Locker.

I think Locker will push Hasselbeck, but in the end it'll be too close to demote Matt. Munchak really likes Hasselbeck, and will end up saying Jake is the future, Hasselbeck is here now and will play.

Perhaps but even if Hass is the starter this year he won't be in 2013. Either Locker starts this year but he will be a starter in year 3 for sure.

I don't understand why you guys think taking a certain position is unheard of such as a guy like Coby Fleener early. Now of us are draft experts, none of us know the Titans draft board. What if he is still sitting there in the 2nd or 3rd round. I would love the idea of Fleener, Cook, Britt, Washington, Williams all playing together with different combinations of 4 and 5 set looks. I give HeadOnASwivel props for this discussion, their only so many prospects we can talk about on in the same position. It's nice to talk about different possibilities.

I'm just considering that with the top WRs off the board by 20, would a top receiving TE be the next best thing? Or, should I say, would the a top receiving TE be better than say a WR who is not a top prospect?

    Lookie.

That's a real imaginative mock. We just signed Stevens, cook had a big year... And we go first round TE? I'd really question that lol.
