We just did blow it up and start over

We got down early. Stop running and we try to catch up with Locker passing. It's not going to work. We need to have a running game.

 

This team needs to start setting up the run by throwing it over and over and over... the exact opposite of what we used to do, but it's the only answer. Our run game will never get going if we come out running it right away. I swear to God if Palmer draws up a run on the first play of our next game, I'm going to lose it.

 

Teams are not stacking the box to stop CJ, they are loading up on the blitz because they know they can get past the line with little trouble.

 

Has anybody heard anything from the post game interview? Did the team hide their faces and run out of Qualcom?

 

We have to come out on first down of every drive going deep (20+ yards) to have any chance of opening up a run game. Our first 2 games of tape are enough for our opponents to figure is out after the opening drive. The only way to have a chance in any game from here on out will be to pass pass and pass some more. Our o-line also has to not suck.

 

It is scary that we did already blow the team up, and again are young and hungry guys!!! Just wait til these guys mature!

3rd and 1 deep ball was pretty bad call. Offensive play calling is horrible but I don't think teams respect any facet of our team right now.

 

All we need is a new RB.

 

There's more to it than that...

1. Two new safeties. Why Robert Johnson is playing at all is dumbfounding to me. He sucks just as much as Griffin, but at least he's not making much money.

2. Entirely new interior o-line.

3. New RB


That's still a lot of things... and there are other areas we could use help.

Palmer... 2002 texans OC.. fired in week 2 2005 for "lackluster offense".... sounds familiar....
great QB coach from his resume (bledsoe, e. manning) but OC... urgh..
