Weaknesses Addressed

    Lots of complaining here about defense being ignored even though we drafted a corner in the 1st round, signed one of the top FA corners, and signed a top run-stopping safety. The 1st round corner mentioned, is also the best return man in the draft, and we also signed a great return man in free agency. WR was one of our biggest needs and it is now a strength for us. We now have the option to cut more dead weight (Douglas and/or McBride). We haven't filled every need yet, and you may not like the decisions that have been made, but this team is improving and is going to be very fun to watch going forward. I am thrilled about the situation we are in and see us being a contender for years to come with the smart moves we are making.

    Top Needs this offseason, and what we've done as of the end of 3rd round:
    WR - Corey Davis, Taywan Taylor, Eric Weems
    CB - Logan Ryan, Adoree Jackson, Demontre Hurst
    S - Jonathan Cyprien, Brynden Trawick
    LB - ???, Daren Bates
    TE - Jonnu Smith
    DL - Sly Williams
    KR - Adoree Jackson, Eric Weems
    OL depth - Tim Lelito

    I too would like to see more at a couple of spots on defense, but I trust that it will be done in time and done the right way.

    I figure our last couple of picks in this draft will be defense and backup qb. Maybe even a few UDFAs as well.

    We improved WRs and our secondary. How much remains to be seen but there's reason for optimism. If it's as effective as it was for the OL and the running game, next season will be fun

    If our coaches use it right.

    We need to be coming out like stone cold killers. Put up points. Then put up more points. Keep the foot to the floor for four quarters.

    That puts pressure on teams. It is the best way to neutralize the ground game Jax is trying to build. It is the best way to make Watson fold like a cheap suit.

    And I like mariota and our weapons in a duel with luck and his.

    We shall see. If we see run run pass all four season I will not be happy.
