He would never be worth the money he hungered for. His production is still good, but not franchise player good. He wants to be the highest paid TE in the league, and he got paid like one. Not worth it. Sciafe and Troupe are capable targets.

Scaife has always been fragile, ever since high school. Hopefully those problems are behind him, but that is not the smart way to bet. Troupe seems to be having similar issues in the NFL, though I have no idea what his history was before that. With injury situations like that, we need 3 legit TEs, and Hartsock does not qualify.

 

Name ONE position we're more loaded at than TE. Please.

Scaife, Troupe, and Hartsock are fine. We need a lot more help at WR (unless they bring back Bennett) than we do at TE...
