We're not #1 against the run...

    I'm just pointing out stat that appeared somewhat.. idk... interesting. I imagined that number would be less. Especially when taking into account yards stopped vs attempts..

    Slap me around and call me Sally.. yet don't be so quick to ask for the rope fella. :hang:

    Other than that.. good points mentioned in this thread... especially the 49 yard punt counted againts our r-def which I didn't take into account. I guess in some way if a defense dominates the run, offenses quit trying which might be the case in our stats.

    My point was that the yds/attempt should be looked at as the major stats which should be taken into consideration to judge the strength of a run stopping defense especially when taking into account greater attempts lead to wearing out of the d-line.

    I hear ya Pit. It was the same way in 2003. It may not matter much, but then again, half the posts on a message board don't....so folks....don't kill the messenger :fish:

    only ranking that matter is our OVERALL 3RD PLACE RECORD FOR THE AFC....(well the steelers also have a 6-2 record after teh ravens...but still).....GO TITANS YE-YE-YE-YEAH!!!!!
