Have you watched the last 4 weeks? Our run game sucks regardless of our QB.

By all indications he's a slightly-above-average QB. But up until last week that's pretty much all Locker was. So I think we can get by with a game manager. We're set up to keep every game close which puts even more of a premium on not turning the ball over. And unfortunately that's something Fitz has had problems with in the past.

But I don't think it's necessarily fair to label him as some turnover-machine either. You gotta remember, he was playing for a Buffalo team that was downright dreadful. They played from behind A LOT. That's usually when the mistakes start to happen as you're trying to force a big play. And he had no real weapons in the passing game outside of Stevie Johnson (who isn't anything special).

Bottom line, I'm not going to bet the house on him being successful here. But I do think he has a decent chance at it. This is an entirely new team around him and an entirely different set of circumstances from Buffalo. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do. He may actually surprise us.

watched every play. Fitz has no running danger, as well as passing so our running game is gonna be our strength now but teams would probobly know that. CJ didn't do much today, don't expect cj to do much next week either to be honest. fitz is gonna have to throw

To be fair, teams were doing that with Locker anyway. And even today when Locker was throwing the ball all over the field on them they were still shutting down our run game rather easily. The sad truth is our run game looks pretty pedestrian regardless of what's going on in the passing game.

Which is unfortunate as we insist on being a "run-first" team.

I agree with that, I just felt like Jake could scramble for some first downs when it comes down to it and I don't feel fitz has that capability. Next few weeks it's going to be tough

Obviously not better than Locker but if he can just limit his turnovers then our defense should keep us in most games.
