Why do people keep using talent as a scape goat? He's definitely had the talent to work with, but even without - a good defensive coordinator make any group of players a well coached system that performs with the middle of the pack at least.

I would say talent is the key here. He def. isn't a great def. cord. However, he did do a fairly good job from 01-03 when we had good talent. So get some good players at DE, and S (replace Thompson and Laboy/Odom), and we're set on defense.

    smack central for you

i wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. but that's just me. :flamer:
edit: damn you. you stole my thought.
    :applause:
    can you even do that?

I could see JS as a scapegoat but I don't think "talent" can be a scapegoat. How about an excuse for JS? An apologist, bs, excuse... Just watch how this defense gets retooled. It will be wild... and once Pac gets back... with or without him we'll be fine. Just watch. This team is going to materialize and solidify.

    Bring on the draft!

When I posted, it was in the smack central. Plus if you are just a lemming without substance you are asking for it, IMO.
