Yeah. I don't think Locker was worth the risk, though. JJ Watt was right there for the taking, and a lot of people had us taking him.

We have no shot at any of the four 1st round QB's. The first five teams picking are all in need of a QB. We might as well get us the DT or MLB our team is dying for, then look at QB's in the 2nd.

I think Vick, in the right system, would be at least good camp comp for Locker. Under Chip Kelly, they ran too many plays, too many opportunities for Vick to get hit. A winning team cannot stand Pat with Locker. Locker will miss significant numbers of games year, so I would invest more in a back-up QB.

Vick is an older version of Kaepernick, at this point in his career. He brings that VY possibility (athletically, not psychologically) to the O with CJ. Remember, as much as ths board hates VY, he did lead a Titans team to the playoffs.

I bet you will be surprised. Every year there are teams that need a QB and pass on them in the 1st. I would honestly be surprised if 4 go off the board in the top 10.

QBs are a big risk.. when a team can find a player with much less bust potential with a top 10 pick. And none of these players seem to have the "NFL ready" qualities that Luck had, and others have.

Almost every time there are 3 or more "Elite" QB prospects, one falls out of the top 10. Cutler, Leinart, Rodgers, among many others. People expect big things out of a top 10 QB, and franchises with GMs who want to save their skin will often go with a safer pick. There's not one QB in this draft that is a safe pick.

I don't know if there have ever been 4 QBs taken in the top 10. I would put money on the fact that at least 1 or more of these teams will pass on a QB, and at least 1 of the "big 4" will drop to us.

I'm not totally sold on any of them.. so I can't really root for any of them. Definitely do not want Manziel.

QB top 10 is risky business.. miss, and end up with a player like Gabbert or Ponder.. and you have an ugly situation on your hands. Career over.

    Option C. Easy. Next question.

Locker is liked by the front office, and he's a 1st round talent. He's affordable this year at $2M. He has one more year to earn the franchise QB nameplate. He's our most likely starter. His challenge is playing 16 games and everyone knows it.

Wilson just signed on for multiple years. Not sure how much is guaranteed. He is a fourth round pick that our FO feels like has good upside. This is the draft pick everyone is describing. We just didn't use the draft to get it. He'll be a project, and the 3rd stringer in 2014.

Fitz has one more year on a two year deal. He's going to make $3.25M next year. He is not starter material. He is serviceable and he is durable. He's the one that needs to worry. He could be replaced by another veteran, but I don't believe he'll be replaced by a rookie. Here's why.

Whiz failed to succeed with a bunch of late round QB picks. He's not going to be happy posting his name on a 4th round QB. I'm sure he'd rather roll with Locker than do that. Whiz has a 5+ year contract that's GUARANTEED. He doesn't have to win the SB in his first year. He knows that 2015 will have a different look at QB, with Locker and Fitz both becoming free agents. He'll have a much better idea of what 1st rounder he wants, or if Locker is his guy.

The Titans aren't going to use their 1st round pick on a QB. They need OT, DE, CB if Verner leaves, LB, RB if Johnson leaves. We have too many needs and an early QB isn't an immediate need.

    Where's my Sportsbook bet?

We certainly do have a lot of needs. OT, DE & MLB 100%. RB when CJ leaves, but no way RB is 1st round pick worthy. CB if Verner leaves (although I'm inclined to think they'll replace w/ Sensabaugh/Blidi). But QB is the most important position, and I think if a top 3 QB slips to 11, we'll think hard about it.

I also think they need to find a OT later than round 1. I think #11 comes down to QB or DE/LB. Barr or Mack would be awesome.
