Yea and if Upright7 looked back at all of Stevens catches he'll know Stevens is NEVER the 1st 2nd or even 3rd read, he's always the last read and gets open because the defense loses track of him, he doesn't really beat anyone in coverage, just gets lucky.

But thats no knock on him, he does do a lot of other things well.

I heard Wycheck the other day saying how he expected us to be a lot more creative with the TEs this year and he thinks we have the talent to do so (of course the guy has a huge raging hard-on for Craig Stevens, so he may not be the most objective evaluator of our TE talent).

IDK, I don't understand why we aren't trying to get them more involved. Of course not much about our offensive strategy makes sense to me.

Stevens is just as atheltic as some of the other starting TE's around the league in my opinion. I'm not saying he is a player that you design your whole offense around but i do think he could create mismatches and if nothing else give the defense something else to worry about. Hes being used in predictable formations which is when you should mix it up and throw him the ball.

Once again once you start the down set with a 1-2 yard run and are sitting at 2-7 or worse it become ineffective to run a two TE set. At that point you need to pass or run a draw and that is better when done in a 3 wide set.

IMO I feel like we have become a one dimensional offense that can't even do what we were meant to do and that is run the ball. fitz sucks big time, teams know that they stack the box and we go 3 and out

Then I guess the question becomes, why do we keep putting ourselves in that situation by running for nothin' on 1st down? Why aren't we getting creative with TEs on 1st down?

Because loggains has it fermented in his brain that we have to run on first and second down no matter how much we gain or lose. His inability to be creative with player personal drives me nuts. As much as i hate the guy you give Billicheck,Sean Payton or any of these offensive minded coaches our offensive roster i can assure you they will have a field day and come up with more packages then Loggains could in an off season. Munch should take some of the blame as well for allowing him to continue it.
