Ideally like to trade w/Bills or Browns who want Trubisky. Maybe Saints. I'd prefer Howard, Foster or CB1-3, S1,2, DE 1-3 at the traded spot. (in that preferential order)


No trade then, Solomon, Allen or Lattimore at #5. Not 100% sold on Hooker. And I'm not writing off Byard- I like what I saw out of him. He has decent ball hawking skills and plays hard. So I'd prefer to grab a D play-maker.

I'm not buying into the Howard hype and I follow Bama. He's solid but just not top five- he's not THAT much better than Njoku. I wouldn't die if we took Howard at 5, but I think we'd be wasting draft capitol on someone not likely to produce at an exceptional level. I'm not buying he is the next Gronk.

Take Davis, Ross, Williams, at #18 in that preference.

If we trade out of #5 and grab a second round, I'd look at BPA ILB's or CB's if we didn't grab one.

Just a reminder, gronk wasn't gronk looking at his college tape either. He became gronk. I think Howard can do the same, especially with Walker to mentor him.

 

Just a reminder, Eric Ebron, Vernon Davis, and Kellen Winslow - the last 3 top 10 TE's drafted in the last 20 years who were also overrated all turned out to be busts.
