Some of the fits (FA) are for the transition. Teaching, experience. Backups.

Thanks for the congrats and condolences, guys! I appreciate it. Here's my latest, Jovanni. This is from his 1 year party about two weeks ago.

I thought the Raiders had to move him to SLB in their 4-3 looks to get the most mileage out of him before we got him. I could be remembering that wrong, though.

NT - Antonio Johnson vs Da'Quan Jones (vs Sammie Lee Hill vs. Chigbo Anunoby)
DE1 - Jurrell Casey, Mike Martin, Shaun Phillips (4-3)
DE2 - Al Woods, Ropati Pitoitua, Derrick Morgan (4-3)
OLB1 - Akeem Ayers, Derrick Morgan
ILB1 - Wesley Woodyard, Moise Fokou
ILB2 - Colin McCarthy, Avery Williamson
OLB2 - Shaun Phillips, Zack Brown, (Zaviar Gooden)

Really unsure if you can make a guy like Klug or Lavar Edwards useful outside of 4-3 looks, and they don't seem like typical 3-4 ILBs, either. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

    Welcome back

    Klug gets cut
    Edwards gets a chance
    Fokou will struggle mightily
    Gooden is a good fit
Mookie deserves a chance.. I do wonder though
Lee Hill should improve - healthy and he's a big boy for the 3-4
Pitoitua will excel as a 3-4 end
Wimbley should improve, but I don't expect 10+ sacks.. 6-8 more likely
Swim or sink season for Martin
    McCarthy will struggle in 3-4

Hey, thanks. Always good to be here.

Gooden definitely has great speed, but can he bend? I hope so. He's always seemed like Zack Brown insurance.

I don't have a good read on Pitoitua in a 3-4 other than Kansas City cut him from that system and haven't seen film from when he was.

Klug probably winds up on the Rams if he gets cut. Been thinking that as obvious given Fisher likes to recapture draft picks.

If only we could face Fisher and the Rams in the SuperBowl and just destroy them (though I do like him when all is said and done, I'm glad he's not here anymore.)

Fair enough to be skeptical because of his KC experience, but I think he's a great fit to the stop run as our 3-4 DE -- which will really help the rush 'backer that plays behind him

Whats this talk that Pitoitua was bad as a 3-4 DE? He wasn't cut from KC for being bad, he had a 1-year deal there and they changed coaches. He left for greener pastures to be with us.

Ahh, I didn't know so just assumed buddy was right saying he was cut.

Either way, I'm extremely confident in Pitoitua's ability as a 3-4 end
