Thank you for that post Gloat, I'm so sick of people calling him fat. Every time you say LenDale is a fatty an angel loses its wings.

Your weight fluctuates due to water weight. You are dehydrated in the morning.

Losing 9 true pounds means a 31,500 calorie deficiency or a 2250 calorie deficiency per day. That's a huge deficiency and shows that he is at a deficiency where he will lose a significant amount of muscle at this pace. If you are on a strength program there is no way you should lose 9 lbs in 2 weeks. That is unless your are extremely overweight.

First of all I haven't seen Lendale, so I have no idea what numbers he is at.

Secondly, the bit about calories is just bullcrap. Obviously you need to have a calorie deficieny to lose weight otherwise your body won't start burning fat. As long as there is fat to burn and you follow a sensible excercise and diet program it won't incur any loss of muscle. And you definetly don't need to be extremely overweight to lose 9lbs in two weeks, you just need to excercise regularly and eat properly and you'll quickly lose the first 10lbs, regardless of how overweight you are.

Those are just the facts, do with them as you wish. There's a reason why everybody in America is fat.

"eating right and exercising and you'll quickly lose the first 10 lbs." :ha:

The only way that is true is if you are obese and you are currently not on any exercising plan whatsoever.

Assuming that is not the case for LenDale, 9 lbs. in 2 weeks is losing weight too fast for someone who is lifting weights. At this pace, it is impossible to not lose muscle because of the huge calorie deficiency needed to lose this amount of weight.

Nine pounds in a week indicates that he is probably well over 15% body fat. That's a considerable amount of weight in a week for any person or athlete who is in decent shape (i.e. body fat % between 8-12%). Now, if he lost 4-5 lbs the first week, it would indicate he's at a healthy weight at this point.

When I heard LenDale was at 260, I was skeptical but not shocked. It's not uncommon for some atlethes to balloon when not on a rigourous and consistant nutrition and work-out routine. Hwevoer, I would guesstimate that he played around 235-240 during the year, and maybe but on 10-15 lbs in the offseason. It happens. This shouldn't be the time to be freaking out over weight.

If in August, there's evidence that he's still overweight, then we're in real trouble.
