^I wouldn't. It's hard to get your CC back off there, and if you ever cancel that card- your membership is likely to die and you'll have to start again.

There is a rumor Microsoft are going to drop the price of GOLD membership prices.

 

They need to. I don't mind paying for a good online experience, but 50 bucks for a year is ridiculous. If I didn't find a deal online for like 35, I still wouldn't have Live.

 

Its probably only happening because PSN is free and there is increased pressure for Microsoft to make it free.
