Why cant we have a QB like Brady or Peyton?

    Jesse, Fisher doesn't believe in a passing game. Why? Because -as the late great Bear Bryant put it- only three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad.

    Fisher likes to win the TOP game also, so he plays on the ground to keep the clock running. When a wide receiver is downed, the clock stops. In an all-passing offense, a three down series could happen in as little as only 12 seconds of regulation time.

    So, if we had a Manning or Brady, he would never become a Manning or a Brady... he'd be too busy handing the ball off to a back.

    Jessie I thought you were real high on Vince? Has that changed?
    With a couple of upgrades at receiver KFC could put up some numbers - especially with the Titans OL...

    Bear Bryant never said that. Some say it was Woody Hayes others say Robert Neyland but it definitely wasn't Bryant.

    And still others say that Vince lombardi said it :) To be honest, I think that's the best bet.
    Either way, doesn't matter who, because they're waaaayyyy before Jesse's time ;)

    Favre - over the hill, didn't make the playoffs. Leads the NFL in INTs
    Rivers - Highest passer-rating in the league, made the playoff with an incredible 8-8 record as division champs.
    Cutler - missed playoffs by losing the last game. Finished 8-8.

    Including Brady and Manning, only 2 of those 5 made the playoffs. Why? - Because they might be good players, but play on bad teams. Teams that are bad, because the QBs get way too much money and the team don't have money left to spare to get a good team around their QB.

    We have a good team. A couple of superstars, but most important - overall a really good team. - That's why we're #1 in the NFL.

    Compare that to:
    Pissburgh has a crappy o-line.
    Indy can't run the ball and an overrated defense.
    Ravens sucks and plays in purple...
    Chargers plays like hell and play in the 2nd worst division in the NFL
    Miami is playing college football
    Giants lose their RB and then they're crappy.
    Panthers can't win on the road.
    Falcons can't win on the road.
    Eagles rely on prone Westbrook
    ViQueens play in purple...
    Cardinals dont know how to run and plays in the worst division in the NFL.

    Where do we start? Brady and manning are among the best QBs in the modern era. 30 teams don't have a QB like that. STUPID!

    The other QBs named are not them. Stupid!
