Why do we still run a power run offense?

Um, we had 56 plays today (not including kicks).....22 rushes/34 passes. My math says that's 61%

 

because our QB cant throw?

 

I guess my reaction to the success in Mularkey's first season was that he deserves another shot, but this offense is whack. Not only lining a 200 lbs WR up at FB, but giving him 3 carries throughout the game. Wow.

 

Worked against the better teams last year considering the Titans beat more playoff teams than any other team in the league. I think 7 of the 9 wins were against playoff teams?

Also, New England ran the ball more than the Titans last year.

 

Every good team has a running game. Seattle was a running team for atleast 2 yrs under Wilson and still had huge success in the air. The offense is built to kill of time off the clock. With our secondary being garbage we will continue to air it all season long.

 

I heard Peyton Manning and Jon Gruden are going to co coach the Vols once Butch Jones is fired this season.

 

I just want to point out the two Super Bowl teams last year were also 2 of the better running teams in the league..

But we'll ignore the reality that running the ball sets everything else up...

Remember all those years our defense was gassed by half time cause we couldn't establish the run to control the clock....?

Funny how you run the ball well and youre suddenly back to winning games.. So yea lets stop running cause its not the "cool" thing to do...

 

I'm all about a strong run game. It wears defenses out and opens up plays. Bring it!
