I think it's agreeable that Howard, Engram, Kittle and Hodges were more athletic, and Jonnu Smith and Gerald Everett were basically on the same level as Njoku.

If you are going to knock a 4.42 guy for not being a good blocker, you are being a bit silly. He would be the fastest receiver on the team day 1, why on earth would you want him blocking?

I don't judge players by stats.. I've seen many players run for a 90 yard TD, only to never be heard of again.

I've watched many Ole Miss games, and I can say this guy doesn't stick out to me as the next great TE.

We are talking about a Jared Cook and a Ben Troupe player right here.

Don't get enamored by his 40 yard time.

George Kittle was on OJs level but no ones talking about him.

If he's going to play TE he's going to block; it comes with the territory, or he's going to be a part-time player.

If we want to call him a WR or slot receiver then that's fine. He's a WR.

What he is not right now is a full-time TE.

And I never knocked his 4.42. It's just one piece of the puzzle.

    Compared to:

    6'5 3/4 @ 251lbs

    4.51
    10'1" broad
    30" vert.

He can block, as well. And catch (1 drop in his career, I believe)

But can he block the DE, ILB or OLB? That's the question.

He can block Khalil Mack, Aaron Donald, and J.J. Watt in his sleep.

It means he can handle blocking duties assigned to NFL TEs.
