Why not John Ross?

Rishard Matthews got 5.5 million a year and Travis Benjamin 6 million a year. I'm fine with Stills getting a deal in that price range. I dont think he a a fringe number 3 at all. Stills is a legit deep threat who is still young enough to keep improving. He would add a much needed element to our offense.

 

We definitely need defensive help more than anything. That said, JR likes balance. I think we go 1 offense and 1 D with our first two picks...

 

It would be crazy if somehow the Titans addresssed their secondary needs and went Davis/Williams and Howard in the first round. Offense would be scary.

 

Mike Williams is basically a skinny TE

But Davis and a TE would be nice

 

I don't understand how he is comparable to a TE at all.

 

Big, slow, stiff, runs 2 maybe 3 routes.....

 

Why not both? Imagine if we traded 5 down to 12 or 13, picked up their 2nd. At 12/13 take Davis... then Ross may be available with the 2nd we picked up, if not at 18 or another trade back/up? J'Rob is creative. We'll see how fast he actually runs, but he looks p damn fast in-game.

If we pursued CB via FA, we probably could double down on receivers. Besides Matthews theres no game-changers at WR. Sharpe has the ability, still young and unproven. Cut Douglas. Just imagine Mariota having Matthews & Davis outside, Ross in the slot, & Delaine at TE. Sharpe rotates in at any position.
