Will Eddie George ever make it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

Cris Carter will make the HoF.

 

The last few years have made it hard for running backs to stand out. Its not surprising to see many running backs get dumped off before they reach 10,000 yards. If he had a ring, maybe, even then I am not sure he would make it. He probably needed a few more years going up against Ray Lewis to be seriously considered.

 

I think being in the top 5 rushers of all time makes an exception to the rule. He was a weird case, even though he was with the Jets, you never heard this guys name anywhere. Real shame too, guy was a great running back.

 

I also unfortunately think both Eddie & Steve just miss out on being HOFs

I really hope at least one of them makes it one day though

 

Let me start out saying Eddie was my absolute favorite player in the NFL during his tenure.

With that said, him being in the Hall of Fame would be a disservice to the Hall. The Hall of Fame is meant for guys who were truly special and changed the game. Lawrence Taylor changed the way the game was played. Deion Sanders was the ultimate shutdown corner.

Eddie George was a really good running back, but he was never great.

 

Of our Super Bowl skill guys Frank has the best chance

 

Gah that run was beautiful and man I miss that team. We were so unbelievably good during those years and have nothing to show for it.

 

Since people are now saying Eli Manning will be in the HOF...

I now change my mind and say Eddie George should get in.

 

If Eddie George is HoF material then so is Ricky Williams.

10,008 yards, 4.1 YPC 76 total TDs.

Neither of them are going, I can assure you that.
