Will we ever see another Steve McNair?

    The question is not whether we will see another McNair-esque QB. Strong, athletic QB's will always be part of the game.

    The question is whether fans, media, and even coaches can be patient and give a young QB time to develop and work through inconsistency early in his career, as McNair did.

    From what we've seen in recent years, I'd say that answer is a resounding "NO".

    Agreed. I think the last couple of rookie classes have changed the perception of QBs needing time to develop. Quality production is expected immediately.

    In a way, the rookie salary caps makes it easier for teams to go out and get another QB in a couple of seasons as the Browns did.

    In that case we could see another Drew Brees. First team got impatient with him and now he is staring with his second team.
