I want the guys we draft to be good too. It wasn't really hard to figure out that trading up to select a guy not on the list of 650 players by the premier sports coverage channel wasn't going to work out well for us.

I'm irritated when we make obvious boneheaded decisions or just employ questionable draft strategies.

You do realize Brandon Carr was a 5th round pick, we had 3 4th round picks we passed on him 3 times. You knew the guy from Grand Valley State was going to be good right?

Obvious bonehead decisions? Hayes was most definitely not a bust or close to it.

Agreed he wasn't a bust but to go out on a limb and trade up to draft a guy that was a marginal rotation player that isn't on the roster is in no way a good move.

Exactly, he was available a round later and at least is someone on a list of 650 scouted players. Look at who we were trading up to draft...

Your not looking at it from that standpoint in time we had no idea what kind of player he would have turned out to be.

Look at your list of 650 players how many panned out that year all 650? Really what is the logic in that?

Well I had a pretty good idea that it was a dumb move, and it was. Some people don't think I should be allowed to voice negative opinions though.

So if William was in the scouts 650 list it would have been a better move?

You still don't get it. How hard is this to understand? The Titans obviously knew who Williams Hayes was and obviously thought if they waited they wouldn't get him (based on what happened). That is obvious. It is a fact. You can disagree with the pick in hindsight but how in hades can you argue that they didn't know what they were doing. And although Hayes obviously didn't work out the way they had hoped he still worked out better than a bunch of guys picked in the 4th round. Find something else to be all bent out of shape about.
