It's risky because of the way mariota was getting spanked last year. The front office has to make some strong move at a OT be it draft or free agency.

I agree there. Just don't see #1 as the place at all. Many more options.

Anybody else wondering that while Ramsey is being regarded as a rare breed special talent and prospect worthy of a top 5 pick arguably one of the best players in the draft yet we can't take him #1 but its OK for him to go #3, #4, or #5?

    Jalen Ramsey @ 3-5 + other picks/players > Jalen Ramsey @ 1

I don' think anyone who wants Ramsey would be mad if he were the top pick, but we are in a rare position where we have something that may be more valuable to someone else than us and we should continue to explore that.

Its okay to take Ramsey at #3, #4, or #5 because Tunsil won't be there. Simple as that. If Tunsil was not in the class you'd see Ramsey go #1 more often.

Do you have no worries about his injury history? I know a lot of "experts" don't. But, i couldn't take any guy 1st overall the gets injured that much in college. He's gonna be playing against grown men now.

Dude, use some punctuation. That was painful to read. I'm not even completely sure of your point.

Anyway, I think it's dumb for people to say you can't take Ramsey at #1, but #3 is ok. Doesn't make sense. If he's a good fit for this team, than that's what matters.

I'm still hoping for a RT in FA, but haven't seen anything indicating that yet which concerns me. I don't want Tunsil. I don't want to take a guy with a history of injuries at #1. Sure Mariota needs to be protected. Who'll protect him when Tunsil it's injured on the sidelines? Much rather a vet OL and use the first pick on d.

I agree that they should have went veteran tackle in FA. Unfortunately, there really are no free agents who are worth it left. Unless a trade happens for a veteran tackle then the pick has to be Tunsil.

I thought there was one or two starting caliber RT's left? Is that wrong? Smith rings a bell.

Andre Smith is still available but his play has become completely mediocre in the last couple years. I'm not willing to risk Mariota's health with him.
